
The Department of Agricultural Education and Extension is housed within the Faculty of Education and Community Studies at Egerton University and is located at the Njoro Campus. The Department offers the Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Education and Extension, a unique programme that
integrates agricultural sciences, education, and rural development to address the dynamic needs of the agricultural sector.
Our Department prides itself on a dedicated and experienced team of faculty members who are committed to delivering high-quality undergraduate training. The team actively participates in research, community outreach, and international collaborations, all aimed at equipping students with the skills and knowledge required to make meaningful contributions to agricultural education, extension, and rural transformation.
The programme prepares graduates to serve as trainers in agriculture and Biology, agricultural extension officers, rural development facilitators, and agripreneurs.
